Program ItineraryPUC San Joaquín Day 1 - 5
Scholars will spend the first week at PUC San Joaquin, located within Santiago Metropolitan Region,  attending classes and activities and interacting with local experts in preparation for their experience in Alto Patache in the northern part of the country. Students will also participate in local cultural activities.
Iquique Day 6 - 7
The group travels to Iquique and spends one day in this coastal city on the north to settle in and prepare for the fieldwork ahead.
Alto PatacheDay 8 - 12
In this protected area south of Iquique, PUC Atacama station operates a long-term research hub where scholars will spend 5 days attending immersive classes and doing field work. Before heading back to Santiago, they will have a final day of debriefing and reflection.
Santiago Day 13 - 21

After returning from Alto Patache, scholars will engage in cultural activities and work on their project presentations. They will also visit PUC Global Field Station in Las Cruces on the coast. For one day to explore coastal marine ecology, sustainable management and conservation.
